PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCHES ON NOVAE AND DWARF VARIABLES MADE AT THE OBSERVATORIES OF LOJANO AND ASIAGO by L. ROSINO, Asiago (Abstract) Several old-novae and U Gem variables have been the object of photographic survey with the 24-inch Zeiss Reflector of Lojano, since 1937. The results obtained are shortly exposed and some suggestions for further work are given. Nova DQ Herculis was observed with the 48-inch telescope of the Asiago Astrophysical Observatory after the discovery of Walker; improved elements were derived and the effect of the nebular envelope, which surrounds the star, on the amplitude of the eclipses was studied. Finally some results are given of the systematic survey of rapid variables (flare stars) in Orion Nebula and NGC 2264.
