Abstract:
Using the 170μm ISOPHOT Serendipity Survey (ISOSS) we are searching
for high-mass star forming regions.
Our sample consists of cold and luminous ISOSS sources coinciding with
embedded young stellar objects detected by the MSX, 2MASS and
IRAS infrared surveys. The large amount and low temperature of gas and dust,
which has not been dispersed, indicates
a recent beginning of the ongoing star formation.
(Sub)millimeter and infrared follow-up observations confirmed the
early evolutionary stage in two candidate regions.
